About LMS Foundation The LMS foundation is the other arm of LMS, which offers LMS members the opportunity to actively participate in a selected number of charities in North Africa, currently mainly in the education sector. Objectives • Broaden the scope of LMS Charity Foundation within the Maghreb region • Increase the awareness of LMS Foundation in UK and attract more members who want to get actively involved with the various projects • Increase the number of projects and money we raise on a year-by-year basis.
Current Projects
1. ‘SchoolMe’, Tunisia
 |
|
A new-born London based charity aiming to sponsor education projects in Tunisia. Its first project is to provide scholarships to promising and less-favored secondary school students in Tunisia. For now, the scholarship covers all the expenses related to the students’ educational needs for two academic years: the last year of College and the first year of University. The number of years covered by the scholarship will be extended when more resources will be available.

2. Zerktouni College, Morocco (photo or logo would be great to include) LMS Charity Foundation supports the Zerktouni College in Marrakech on an on-going basis. This College counts more than 2,000 pupils and students aged from 15 to 22 years old, of which more than 50% are girls. LMS has committed to donate £6,000 towards the new Library and Computer Centre.
3. Abused women in Larache, Morocco (Photo or logo) LMS is also supporting a charity in Larache, which provides shelter and support for abused women. We need to raise £2,500 for this project and are delighted to have the support of Professional Arabs Network. |
